A story of bamboo and sparrows that stands out against the pitch black.
The lustrous black that is unique to cloisonné ware. Within this deep hue, fresh green bamboo leaves unfold lightly. The gold lines tracing the edge shine softly, and if you peer carefully from below, you can see a small sparrow taking a rest. It is as if a small scene has been trapped inside the vessel.
Originally created as an ashtray, this piece takes on a new look when lit. Hanging it above the dining table adds a quiet touch to mealtimes, while placing it on a counter or reading space creates a warm moment when you look up and make eye contact with the little sparrow.
The contrast between jet black and green makes this a lamp that brings a touch of color to your daily life.
