The colors of Kutani shine in a new light.

This pendant light, which adds an elegant touch to the space, is a remake of an ashtray made by Daiichi Toki, a Kutani ware manufacturer, to suit modern living.

What is particularly noteworthy is the design, which is rare for Kutani ware. The vibrant lapis lazuli blue base, flowing arabesque patterns, and flowers painted in fiery red, catch the viewer's eye. The bold composition, which exudes a somewhat exotic atmosphere and sets it apart from the traditional image of Kutani ware, will fit in well with modern interiors, adding depth and individuality to any space.

The painting, which must have been done by hand one by one, is delicate yet powerful, demonstrating the skilled work of Kutani ware artisans. Even when the light is off, the beautiful patterns radiate presence as an object, decorating the space like an art piece.
