Kutani flowers blooming in a sea of lapis lazuli.
This lamp is handcrafted by Kutani ware's Meito kiln. The deep lapis lazuli background accentuates the vividness of the flowers depicted. The delicate patterns of peonies, chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms are like a colorful garden. The gold paint running around the edges reflects the light subtly.
When lit in a vessel that was once used as an ashtray, its gorgeous glow adds a soft touch of color to your evenings. Hanging it from the ceiling in your dining room will add a festive atmosphere to your table, or light it next to you while reading, and the shadow of flowers will brush against your field of vision with each page you turn.
The combination of deep blue and flowers adds a subtle story to everyday scenes.
