Hanazume is a traditional Kutani ware technique. It is an elegant design in which colorful flowers bloom to fill the vessel. This pendant light is a remake of an ashtray with this Hanazume pattern.
Compared to the Hanazumi pieces he has worked on up until now, the colors here are somewhat subdued. The deep reds, greens, and golds blend together beautifully, creating a sense of dignified serenity amidst the gorgeousness.
When lit, the shadows of the pattern softly emerge, adding a soft touch to the space. The artisan's handiwork and the presence of time-honored vessels bring a rich sense of space to your life.
