It used to be an ashtray.
Now it lights up a new time.

It's like a vessel that envelops light.
The "Amime" (mesh) pattern, painted in deep indigo on the elegant white porcelain, is recreated as lighting, emanating a quiet presence in the space.
The mesh pattern is one of Japan's traditional patterns.
It is so old that it can be seen on Jomon period pottery, and was widely popular during the Edo period. Because it resembles a fishing net, it is believed to bring good luck, such as a large catch or catching good fortune, and is a beautiful pattern that is still used in everyday life today.
Although the design is simple, it is somehow modern and minimalist.
It also blends in comfortably with Nordic and Korean interiors.
Its beauty, which is not biased towards either Japanese or Western styles, makes it a great choice for lighting entryways, dining rooms, and bedrooms.
